But, as my own personal statement, I could give a rats ass about druggies, drug dealers, etc,

There are many threads with reasonable and balanced views presented all around, and it takes just
a few people to post the merchant meme in a thread for everyone to throw their hands up and say
"/pol/ is all the same racists and trolls".
The fact is, you won't see a thread without those memes, because those people are the loud
minority in the community, and don't help in discussion. Because of how loud their comments are,
you mistake all of /pol/ for those few posts, and miss out on all the good discussion.
I don't browse /pol/ often, but you guys should seriously try posting around there for a few days.
As long as you have a thick skin for trolls and flamebait, I can almost guarantee you that you
will find many others who share your exact views.
