Gifs don't have audio though. Webm's also possess greater resolutions at smaller file sizes. Some
anon told me two boards currently allow webm with-audio, but it could definitely do with its own
board.
I asked why most boards allow them, but not with audio, & it's apparently got something to do
with "Screamers". I personally think it has more to do with copyright claims though

/wsg/ and /gif/ both allow sound in their webms. And if you've been to either of those boards
since sound webms were allowed, you'd know that webms pretty much dominate the boards to the
point where it's normal to have entire threads without a single gif being posted.
