It's a Studio Ghibli movie, it's quite good, not on a Spirited Away level but worth a watch.

It's kind of unusual, it's the sequel to another movie called Whisper of the Heart which was pretty
much just a love story but had a touch of mystery to it. The Cat Returns is a lot more like the
other Studio Ghibli films with lots of weird psychodelic imagery and fantastical environments and
characters.

Yeah, I totally was confused, having seen this movie prior to Whisper of the Heart. I thought
someone was getting hugely ripped off until I noticed both movies were from Studio Ghibli.

Thanks for the comments. I finally got to see that one.
Starts very good, but the script's quality goes down after the fat cat, and is abysmal from the
rescue.
But the imagery is good. It's a pity they forced the script so hard to get the scenes they wanted,
that you keep facepalming through the movie.
