America's always not been the best morally. Does he not know about the Mexican-American War?
America baited Mexico into attacking so that they could shit on their inferior military and "buy"
half of their country (conquer). This was less than a century into our country's existence.
Less than 20 years later, we had a bloody civil war resulting in the deaths of around 600,000
Americans.
Let's not forget the atrocities that were committed against the Native Americans and the Trail of
Tears. Or how about Japanese internment camps or MKULTRA or Vietnam?
Or anything in general.
There were not good old days. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy isn't properly educated in US
history since he probably went to school 30+ years ago.

This is what I love about people who say that the U.S. isn't the best.
They don't provide an argument for any alternative.
America, as of right now, is the sole superpower in the world. The USSR once was another
superpower, but it dissolved.
That being said, it's America. America does have its downsides, but its outrageous amount of
upsides far outweighs them.

First, just because alternatives are not given does not infer that the original statement ("U.S.
isn't the best") is false.
Second, America is a continent, not a country.
Third - at the moment, there are no objective ways to determine what makes a country "the best."
Is it military power? Is it educational funding? Is it medical prowess? Is it political balances?
Is it population density? Is it minimum wage? Is it living conditions? Is it technological
advancements? Is it economic stability? Is it suicide rates? Birth rates? Death rates? Age gaps?
The point I'm making is, there are so many different ways that you could try and point to what
makes a country "the best," but all you will be pointing out is a statistic.
To me, the best country is the one I am happiest to live in. That is different for every person
on earth.

America is not a continent. North America is a continent and South America is a continent, and
"the Americas" refers to both continents, but "America" alone almost always refers to the United

Ask any American if their country is ideal, you would almost always get an answer of no. The
united states of America is not at its best. But there are no other countries that are better
than America in total. Germany? nazis, and being held back by greece makes it not the best. any
other EU country? on their own, they all have relatively weak armies (with the exception of
France and UK), and are marred with their own problems. Russia and China are corrupt as shit, and
Australia doesn't count.

The funny thing is that you probably don't even know how many countries work, like Sweden for
example. You have no idea how free and creative life is there yet you assume USA is so much
better. You also seem to think shit like having a strong army is important, sucking out a ton of

Search for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on youtube, he talks about a lot of fucked up
things in USA. It's heavily packaged in humor to make the common person caring to listen to the
message, but that doesn't change how true the topic is.
