Also use crossfade to bridge the seam (line up three copies of the track end to end, BEFORE cropping out the rest of the song. Then use the fade out effect starting at the beginning of the middle track, and fade in ending at the end of said track. Then crop out the track. http://i43.tinypic.com/j9oxuq.png you'll have to account for the additional gain at the beginning and end.
