Hey anon, lemme read your mind.
Choose a two digit number and subtract the sum of its digits.
Your final number is one of these:
9 18 27 36 45 54 63 72 81
You're welcome.

For a simple proof, let's say the two digits of your number are x and y. If your number is 23, x
= 2 and y = 3. The number itself is 10x + y.
(10x + y) - (x + y) = 9x, and although it looks random, every multiple of 9 is the same symbol
(except 99 and 90, since these aren't possible results). If you aren't getting a multiple of 9
for your answer, you aren't doing the math right.

Yup, all the multiples of 9 have the same sign in reference to each other. Other signs change too
while the watcher focuses on a different number. Like most "WTF magic" tricks, it requires the
watcher to get focused or distracted enough to fall for whatever BS you're pulling on them.
