[_] SHANTY TIME Blackjack Slim !!83t3HfVP4qd 07/31/15(Fri)05:17:44 No.2862108
This was a traditional folk song brought to popularity by British sailors in the eclipse of
piracy (late 1790s)
It withstood the tests of time and has seemingly largely unchanged over the course of nearly 300
years.
Impressive by any song's standards.
Marked for deletion (old).

Also for those who aren't too familiar with olde English.
The song is telling the tale of a man's ruin through drink and smoke, listen closely and you'll
get it.

haven't been able to find who did this version. I love the speed of it. Also the sequence is way
different then other posted versions.

I don't think this is old English, just a different choice of words than we might use today
