original version, the interlude is indecipherable gibberish that nobody seems to be able to peice
together.
general concepts of what is trying to be said vs this bitches english lyrics:
first 8 beats: if using words would ruin our relationship, maybe we just shouldn't use words:
"you don't like me, i'm delusional, if i tell you I like you, you'll tell me you don't feel the
same way, and all my dreams will be crushed, so maybe i just shouldn't say anything and stay in
my fantasy world?" [if you're scared that you'll say something you'll regret, well, love is
something thats best when quiet]
its sort of a sly way of saying "if you're afraid you'll fuck up your confession, or that your
confession will fuck something up, well, if you don't say anything you can keep on loving him one
way instead of having to give up" I think this captures the idea pretty well.
second 8 beats: "I thought this, and was afraid, but something is different somehow" alternate
"have you thought about this? is it scary to you? but something feels off doesnt' it" [avoid a
fight and be polite. just shut up. no, wait a second that ain't right]
knowing the original versions makes the english one have a bit more sense. the alternate
translation and english version are her talking to herself, different ways of saying the same
thing. japan version is "i thought i should say nothing because i was afraid of your reaction,
and just keep being the nice girl that i am so you'd notice me, but that's not quite how it
should be"
1000 steps journey blah blah thats accurate.
rock solid determination vs doing your best. not quite accurate. she could have translated better
there.
next line is conflicting translations on the sources i'm using but the general idea is "i'll make
changes to myself" while the english version is "i'll try and give my all". not the same at all
2 long. final judgmeent: without knowing the japanese meaning, the english dub doesn't have
logical flow.
