>Rural and agrarian South has no hope of ever controlling the House.
>Seeks to keep at least even power in the Senate by having a 1 for 1 exchange of slave holding
and non-slave holding states entering the Union.
>Election of 1860 comes around.
>Yankee president that wasn't on the ballet in Southern states wins the presidency.
>Has made it clear in the past he is anti-slavery
>The South feels that their voice is no longer being heard in the Federal Govt. and secedes.
I don't really blame them at all for seceding. They were going to be subjected to ham fisted
rulings from the Federal Govt. telling what they could and could not do in their own states.
This was the beginning of the end for true liberty in the USA. Since the Almighty and Great
Tyrant's rule, the Federal Govt. has taken a giant shit all over the Constitution. Trying to
regulate anything and everything with tremendous asspulls from the Interstate Commerce Clause.
Regulating school lunches because those children will someday enter the work force and engage in
Interstate Commerce. Regulating what you can grow for your own personal use because you won't be
purchasing someone else's product and disrupting Interstate Commerce. Saying that compulsory
military service isn't slavery nor involuntary servitude because the government is doing it.
The true spirit of Americanism died in 1865, and I fear she shall never rise again.
