Hey OP that's the thing I'm feeling those emotions about. Bad emotions directed at you.
I dunno honestly, I just can't get mad at Homestuck people anymore. The author of Homestuck made
off with, what, millions of dollars of his fans' money? All to make some shitty game that will
never come out, and he stopped updating his cartoon show thing. Honestly, if that many people can
be shit on so thoroughly by one guy and still be begging for his dick this hard...I dunno. I
kinda feel sorry for them? I just wanna pat whoever made this on the head and say "What a good
cartoon you've made! I really liked the flashlight. I bet Allen Homestuck, author of Homestuck,
will be really proud of you and get a million boners because of this cartoon. Then he'll jerk off
all of those boners onto the big pile of money that you gave him, and you'll be that much closer
to him."
Then they'll smile and try to show me their candy corn alien people drawings, eyes beaming with
genuine pride, but I'll politely decline and be on my way, because the tears they are shedding
seem like a personal experience that they need to work through on their own.

for a couple hundred thousand words, it was a pretty mediocre if mildly entertaining webcomic.
Many people enjoyed the recursive references and foreshadowing presented in Hussie's other work
directed at Homosuck.
I for one got tired of reading it after because of how universally unlikable all of the
characters were.
Sure, it was something to do when I had nothing better to do, but now i'd be hard pressed to find
something worse than reading taht trite again

Well, it's not a cartoon; it's a web comic.
I think a lot of people like Homestuck because their friends tell them to read it. They do and
eventually become attached to the characters/plot/whatever and want to see it through.
To be honest, if you have loads of free time, I would reccomend giving it a read, just not in one
sitting.
