  You are now imagining a man wearing a brown trench coat sitting in a dimly lit pub. A thin cloud
  smoke fills the top half of the room. A man sits alone at the bar, with a lit cigarette in his
  mouth. A visor covers his eyes. He is looking down at the bar to a mug. In it, what was left of a
  cup of black coffee. No sugar or creme. Straight black. He stares into the liquid, trying to see
  himself within it but it is too dark too see much of anything, save for a group of musicians
  playing in the corner.

  sighs and looks back at his drink. He tries again to see his reflection in the bitter brew, but
  nothing again. Some of the ashes from his cigarette fall into the cup. The bartender asks,
  "Freshen that up for you, sir?" The man puts his hand up in a halting motion. The man places some
  money on the counter next to the half finished drink, and gets up from the bar. He makes his way
  to the door, stopping to look at the musicians one more time. "What a bitter tune," he says
  softly to himself, and exits the bar, alone into the straight black of night.
