"chainguns" only have one barrel, what makes them chainguns is that there is a loop of chain
driven by a motor that cycles the gun. chainguns are usually large caliber cannons, like the
apache's cannon. basically, a chaingun is much more accurate, while a gatling offers high rates
of fire, so larger (more expensive) rounds are better handled by a single-barreled weapon, while
smaller rounds go to gatlings.
"minjgun" refers to only one electronically-powered gatling gun (and its variants) used by the us
military, usually in 7.62 NATO. some of them are available with fewer barrels so less ammunition
is used. civvies often call the minigun a vulcan, which is another gatling, but chambered in 20mm.

nah its just that the frame rate of the camera is not as high as the movement of the gun, so one
frame sometimes catches the flame from previous shots
