It's binary.
Right side is hours, left is minutes.

Still don't get it. How is that binary?

Minutes Hours
128 128
64 64
32 32
16 (Seconds) 16
8 8
4 4
2 2

add up the blue lights on the left side for the number of minutes past the hour, and the number
of blue lights on the right side for hours.

How do I get this as wallpaper in Vista?
>> [_] Anonymous 08/10/09(Mon)06:54 No.1045930
>>1045928
you can't. animated wallpapers don't exist in vista...though I'm sure there is a widget you could
find and just apply a black background or something.
Try rainmeter.

Okay, thanks anyway. I have Dream Maker and Deskscapes, but they only have possibility to make
video-wallpapers :(

What the hell is this?

>>1045931
well, I guess if you could find a way to record a 24 hour video of the flash animation and loop
it...you could do it. though you'd need to get the time set up right if you ever turn your
computer off.
>> [_] Anonymous 08/10/09(Mon)07:02 No.1045934
>>1045933
That's possibility since I keep my computer on like 24/7. But the rebooting and shutting down
computer will f*ck up the wallpaper since Dream Maker doesn't support interactive wallpapers (I
think so, made few and never seen any really interactive)

what?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finger_binary
look at it sideways, so that the right side is at the top. it's 15:48 right now, so 00110000
a 1 in the fifth digit from the right is 16, or 2^4. a 1 in the sixth digit from the right is 32,
or 2^5. 32+16=48. there's the seconds. when one minute has passed, it will be 00110001. that's
49. 00110010 would be 50, and so on.
the hours use military time, so 3pm is 15. to figure that out easily in binary, take 16, or
00010000 and subtract one, making it 00001111. 8 or 2^3 + 4 or 2^2 + 2 or 2^1 + 1 or 2^0 gives
you 15. this works for all numbers that are 2^n - 1. i don't know any other tricks so just
translate each digit from binary to base 10 and add up the digits.
>> [_] Anonymous 08/10/09(Mon)15:00 No.1046083
also, the top two nodes on the left will never light up, nor will the top 3 nodes on the right.
that's because there's no more than 59 seconds in a minute, and 23 hours in a day. so it wouldn't
get to 64 (01000000) and 32 (00100000) respectively.

there's the minutes.
not
there's the seconds.

its actually a particularly nice little clock, I'd love to have it as a Rainmeter widget or
something of the sort.

This could be used to turn it into a screensaver, if you want.
