Joke all you will, Anonymous is great.

You judge others by what they say in a single post. No identity getting in the way of a opinion,
no gender, no race, no nationality, no past post. Only a single piece of text to either agree or
disagree with. It's pure, it's awesome.

A king can write something and get called a dumb fuck without his identity coloring whatever he
  just wrote.

You can laugh with the same person that you absolutely hated a few posts earlier, because you
don't know it's the same guy.

You can change your mind on the fly about an issue without your past posts getting in the way,
people won't judge you by them because they don't know you wrote them.

Being Anonymous is awesome. For once you can be honest about absolutely everything.

This. I can't stand regular forums, because everybody strokes their egos and forms reputations,
which suppresses and censors a person's ability to post their true thoughts and feelings.

This is why tripfags are hated so much on 4chan, this place is NOT about the individual.

The guy left 4chan for tumblr. The video is 3 minutes of him talking a lot without actually

Even in terms of efficiency, he doesn't understand that alot of people that browse 4chan aren't
looking for a specific thing and are more browsing to view a wide variety of content/opinions in

  Hi there!

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always
willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting,
but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always
remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one
is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try
to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!

Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous
  image-board culture!

And how 4chan should be used?
He may be saying that 4chan is bad and pointlessly wasting time, but his whole video actually can
be summarized in one sentence: he got bored of 4chan.
I'm here for a very long time (not as much as that guy) and I'm starting to feel something
similar too. Time passes you get different interests, you become a normalfag. I read 4chan for
like 30 min a day and barely even post anything.

It's like you play with cars and soldiers when you're kid, you watch batman and spiderman
cartoons. But when you grow up you get bored of that stuff. Is it bad to play with toys and watch
cartoons? No. You just can't expect those toys will entertain you forever.

>> [_] Anonymous 08/20/15(Thu)16:17:01 No.2881280

  >>2881269
I would still play with toys if they still played with my interest.
The closest I might go though if I ever were to play with some form of a toy again is Lego. Can
  make anything with Lego.

The plus side with 4chan is that you get bombarded with content you might not want to see, or
didn't know that you wanted to see.

On Reddit you'll only see what mainstream approves of and thumbs up from the depths. On Facebook
you'll only see what their system think you want to see. YouTube also tries to only show stuff it
  thinks you want to see.

Honestly though, I think I would have preferred never visting 4chan. I would probably have been
much happier being part of the mainstream, after all these years I find myself thinking
differently that those around me. It gets harder and harder for me to get something out of social
activities. Jokes doesn't seem as funny, horrible news becomes interesting instead of horrible...
  stuff like that.

  I don't really regret anything.

  That aside, definitely,
The plus side of 4chan is it takes you out of your comfort zone and means you never have to worry
about things being put to your name.

I'm so glad /b/ finally removed those pesky IDs that gave away a person's post history in a
thread. So much better without them.

IDs gave too much power to post that got a lot of positive/negative replies. That influenced what
people thought about a certain opinion. Now without them you truly only judge a post by what is
written inside it, because you have to take replies with a grain of salt due to the possibility
  of people samefagging.

>> [_] Anonymous 08/20/15(Thu)16:31:31 No.2881289

This pretty much only applies to:

  /a/, /jp/, /v/, /mu/, /b/ and /pol/

Everyone who browses those places are miserable human beings who are dead inside.

There's no right or wrong way to use it, but there are things that can improve your browsing
experience. Filtering certain threads you don't like, filtering tripfags if you don't like them,
going to different boards when you get bored.

At any given time I'm filtering 10-20 threads on /b/. Not to mention I have filters that bring
threads I'm always interested in to the top. If you use the catalog you can see every single
thread on an entire board instead of hopping around from page to page potentially oblivious to a
  really good thread.

And I can say that the boards I visit now are not the same boards I visited 6 months ago, nor
were those the same I visited a year ago. I can truthfully say I've visited every board multiple
times and that introduces you to new hobbies, new ways of thinking, new interests.

4chan is what you make of it. That guy chose to stick to /a/ and /v/ and other places famed for
shitposting and he had a bad time.

I'll throw in my shit too, just because I can and can just ignore it if everyone disagrees
because it will never come back to me.

Remember that kid in class that no one talked to? Not the one from some throw-away class like
study hall that just didn't have any friends in that class, I mean the ones that just didn't have
any friends period. The one that always had some strange comment about one thing or another, or
drew instead of did work, or said "One day they'll all accept me for who I am and I'll make
them!" then talked about bringing a gun to school and just said real edgy shit?

Imagine giving that kid the power to be popular. I mean he just woke up the next day and was
popular. Not only would he milk it until there's nothing left to milk, and then milk it more, he
would also share his thoughts and ideas around. All those thoughts of "there is no God" and
"sports are for idiots" are now spreading through the school like wildfire and everyone will know
this idiot's name. This is exactly what the internet did for these kids. Not exactly the
internet, of course, but online forums. The question is, how do we stop them?

One answer is to just beat them. Beat these kids until they're normal. It works sometimes,
eventually these kids would normal up or toughen up and go on to lead normal lives. Another
answer is for other figures to step in to help them. Most of these kids are the way they are
because their parents are fucked up and the kids end up with no one to look up to, so when these
kids have someone to learn from and look up to they'll try to emulate them.

I've been writing like shit but point is if we continue with this whole "accept everyone"
bullshit, we're going to have a world of manchildren worse than the ones today, and hugbox forums
will only hurt us. 4chan helps, it's good to hear "you're a complete fucking retard and i hope
you get hit by a train" sometimes
