Touhou hijacks were the worst fucking thing to ever happen just short of MLP.
So many problems with this site can be attributed to that bullshit, including but not limited to
the creation of /jp/, the increase of post timers, and the necessity for captchas.
WHY COULDN'T YOU FAGGOTS JUST KEEP TO YOUR OWN THREADS AND MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS?
THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS.

So it's Touhou's fault now?
>worst fucking thing to ever happen just short of MLP

Yes. While 4chan.js was the prime cause of captcha intoduction, script kiddie hijackers also take
responsibility.
Imagebombers ruined everything.

Touhou hijacks completely disappeared as soon as /jp/ was created. Captchas were added like 2
years after that.
And all the spammers (like for example gorespammer and wikispammer on /a/) had nothing to do with
Touhou.

You cannot tell me with a straight face that touhou highjacks were not directly responsible for
the following precedence of spam culture.
That self righteous policing mentality started it all.

NO.
That kind of spam existed long before 4chan even knew who Reimu is. It was all part of "western
imageboard culture". It was considered OK to spam thread with guro, scat, gay porno and other
nasty shit if you don't like thread's subject or some particular poster. There was time when
people were encouraging such behaviour.
Gurospammer and wikispammer were both following the same logic. Usually they targeted only
specific threads they didn't like.
Touhou hijacks were harmless.
