it's only funny if you get the full buildup from the beginning of the episode.

Just watched this episode for the first time a few hours ago.
Beneath the "edgy comedy" or whatever it's nice that it reaches people to show some of the
implications of time travel or a multiverse. They make for such easy fiction.
Hell, might be their first experience with unreliable reality. Like they never heard that
dreaming butterfly line, or watched The Matrix. Probably not a big trope on Netflix.
It's the 201 to Back to the Future's 101. Doctor Who being 102. Man, that show. "He might be
dying right now!"? For fuck's sake, don't write time travel if you can't grasp Everything Already
Happened.

Thankfully you are one of those who are in the know, not like the faggot above me who just
wouldn't get it even if they explained it to him in simple terms.

whew, thank god. I thought this show was making fun of the music industry, reality music shows
and modern 'pop' music. Thank christ you fucking enlightened me.

I get what you're saying, but would just like to point out that time travel NEVER happens in Rick
and Morty and never will.

Source on that?
Considering Rick and Morty's origins as a BttF parody in Doc and Mharti, I wouldn't rule out a
time travel episode eventually happening.

Both Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon have stated in interviews that they will not be using time
travel in the series because they believe that every possible story they could make out of it has
been done already.
