It has its moments. There's a demo for it that should give you a pretty good idea of if it's your
jam or not.
Personally, some of the boss battles knocked me on my ass. There's a lot of good ideas in it but
if the art style, gameplay, or humor doesn't do it for you, it's probably safe to skip it.

If you want a retro style RPG with bullet hell mechanics, yes.
Has a passive ending where you don't kill anyone, and even a genocide ending where you just
butcher everything in site.
The entire sound track is amazing, regardless if you like the game or not.

Piece of advise: Always make *absolutley* sure that you know whether you can actually spare

It's well worth a playthrough.
The only advice I can give you: If you wish to do a genocide run (kill EVERYONE and hunt EVERY
monster in an area) then do a pacifist run FIRST.

Speaking as someone who went in expecting nothing and knowing nothing, I personally found it to
be one of the best RPGs I've ever played in terms of how engaged it got me. Your milage may vary
of course but I think it's done something with its plot that no other medium could come close to
and that alone got me really excited to play.
If you're going to play, my recommendation is that you go in unprotected and unlubed. No spoilers
homie.

The amount of little details makes you feel the love put into creating this, it's really hard to
play this and not get engaged, it's something you rarely see nowadays, the music is just another
huge plus, kind of makes me feel sad there aren't games like this, l've played Lisa, OFF and etc,
great games but don't really give the same feeling.

Honestly, it's a great game. Funny, original, great story, amazing music and fun gameplay. It's
currently near the top of Metacritic's greatest games of all time, if that tells you anything.
