  it's culturally hard between east and west but thai people are very talented.

  Thailand kept its independence in the colonial period in part by being really good at telling
  Westerners what they wanted to hear, so that's just true to form if they're still good at it now.

  HOWEVER, those high-feels Thai ads weren't created for foreign consumption - feels are just
  feels, east or west. Having dramatic commercials like that is just a quirk of the Thai industry -
  directors who want to make TV dramas or feature length films end up working on commercials too,
  and they go with the dramatic feels that they know best.
