will reward you

As long as you treat rabies within 10 days of the animal bite, you should be fine.
Even if a rabid dog bites you in the middle of no where, you still have over a week to get
treated.
That is the reason almost no one dies from rabies anymore.

>Vaccination after exposure, PEP, is highly successful in preventing the disease if administered
promptly, in general within 6 days of infection. Begun with little or no delay, PEP is 100%
effective against rabies.[13] In the case of significant delay in administering PEP, the
treatment still has a chance of success.[21]

Informative, actually.
Will sleep sound knowing we have ways of preventing, delaying its onset and controlling damage.
I actually thought it made the patient extremely irate, but I guess it's a small group, and
mostly in dogs only, then.

if you get bitten you can easily go to a doctor to get it fixed up, you got like from a month to
a year for symptoms to show but once you actually show symptoms that's it, t here's no cure from
there because it's in your brain. If you ever get bitten or even scratched by a stray animal you
should really get a shot asap no matter what, it's better safe than sorry. oh and if you just
want to get tested for rabies you cant do that, the only way to check is by getting a sample of
your brain.

Rabies is one of the deadliest disease known to man, only four patients have survived full blown
infection (once symptoms set in). But as stated earlier in the thread you have plenty of time to
get the vaccination after exposure, and recover just fine.

how did they survive it? what happened after they survived it? did they revert back to normal or
what?
>> [_] Anonymous 11/10/15(Tue)23:54:38 No.2948026
>>2948023
It is still unknown how/why they survived it, but yes they did return to ultimately normal normal
(if you do not count scar tissue from the inflammation, which can heal over a long period of
time).

Actually, there is a new maybe-kinda-potential-treatment for it. Deep medically induced coma for
a few weeks.
