I was alive and enjoyed it in my youth. Now it is flawed and bullshit. I was a lot more forgiving
of games back in the day because there was literally nothing else to compare them too.
For example, Resident Evil 4 was THE horror game when it came out and it had the best control
system for a horror game at the time. Then Dead Space did it better and now RE4 plays like shit
to me.
Mega Man not having slide and charged buster cannon option makes the game play like shit in
comparison to the later title. The platforming is still good, but the game feels clunky and
unfinished compared to number 3 onward.
Games change and a whole bunch of old games are complete shit now. However! There are exceptions
to the rule. For example, Bionic Commando was remade as Bionic Commando rearmed and there were
gameplay tweaks but nothing fantastic and the original is still highly enjoyable.
