  That is what confuses me about this.

  Visually this is a fairly noisy video anyway, but the audio shouldn't have been compressed that
  badly.

  The visuals could have been lowered JUST a little bit and still be pretty damn decent quality.
  Even 10% drop in quality, resolution, or even a few random frames dropped when things are slow,
  stupidly good savings on bytes.
