Yeah I know, it's a dumb thing to get hooked on, but it just... It takes away from the intensity.

While you can argue that adding exploding windows would be superior, it's not obviously true. The
obliviousness of the women in the terminal and the complete safety of the other planes and
equipment on the airstrip could be considered more funny or emotionally impactful than showy
violence.
It was a defensible decision, not just laziness.
