second time I've seen this posted. The sound captures the era it's going for well (I'm guessing
late 20's early 30's Bowelly/Cantor style songs) but I still think the lyrics are kind of shit.
"you told me to buy a pony but all I wanted was you"? What the fuck does that even mean? Either
way, lyrics bad, music good.

We were playing in the sand (I'm guessing dating metaphor)
And you found a little band (Either she/he found a gf/bf or found a little band or ring, for
wedding)
You told me you fell in love with it (Again "I love this ring... I love you." Some sort of crap
similar)
Hadn't gone as I planned (He/she wanted to propose to the person who just got proposed to)
When you had to bid adieu ( Because He/she was married they had to stop seeing each other)
Said you'd never love anew (Long time commitment)
I wondered if I could hold it (He/she either wants to steal the ring or propose)
and fall in love with it too (He/she loved them, and they denied them...)
You told me buy a pony ("Move on")
But all I wanted was you ( If I can't have you... No-one can.)

This is by Tally Hall, the same band behind the "Banana Man" that gets posted here frequently
(also one of the members went on to write the Shia LaBeouf stalker song)
Definitely worth looking into if you crave a 2002-2007 aesthetic, or if you just like good music
in general
