No idea, peacefully I assume.
I work at a pharmacy inside a retail store. An elderly Hispanic man came in around 7:15 am to use
our waiting room while his car was receiving repairs in the shop adjacent to the pharmacy. He had
been waiting for nearly 4 hours before I went over to say something to him, only.. he wasn't
waiting.
He had been slumped over in the seat with his eyes shut and his arms resting on his chin so we
all assumed he was asleep. It took me a while to realize he was actually gone. Before I went back
to tell anyone I got a really good look at him. His cheeks we're red and splotchy and I noticed
an odor when I initially tried to wake him up.
This website really desensitizes you to this kind of thing, first time seeing a dead body in
person and I expected more of a reaction from myself. I will say this though, seeing that body,
made me realize how fleeting life is and, relative to the rest of the world, how diminutive each
and everyone of us truly is.
When you die the world will keep spinning, just as its always has. You should consider yourself
lucky if someone so much as bats an eye.
