Let me explain something to you.
What you just did, is emulate the other person in a sarcastic, "hurr durr" manner. This
essentially means that you are saying his argument is stupid, or doesn't make sense.
This works finely in chan culture, however, there is one problem.
When it is used, often the intended effect is to make the other person realize what they said was
silly when reduced to purely the points of their argument (combined of course with the hurr-durr
additions). It gives them an overview, and easy reflection.
However, getting to the core problem here:
It only works when the other person is wrong. If the music that reached mainstream 50 years ago
truly was of greater quality, then "hurr durring" it doesn't accomplish anything other than
repeating his argument in a silly tone and making those who reflect upon it say to themselves
"but yes, he is right.".
I hope this helps.
We have good music today, but what reaches mainstream is mainly garbage with 2 lines of lyrics
repeated again and again, often with little other rhymes than the repeated lines and a few
individual words on their own.
