Anon 2595608 >> [_] Anon 2595610 which road you "cruising" >> [_] Anon 2595616 Oh look, more piece of shit cars I could smoke the hell out of in my 94 EG hatch. >> [_] Anon 2595617 >># I'm in Alabama man, It's kinda hard to find people to hit up the backroads with. Everyone's broke or their cars are on jack stands. I have a running turbo FC and an SA22, but I can't afford to get plates or insurance for them. Don't want to risk getting pulled over so, I only do very local sprints since I live in the boonies anyway. >> [_] Anon 2595622 >># knew some subies in bama that were pretty okay guys back in the day, have a 85 GSLSE and a 89 Conquest here reppin nor cal roads >> [_] Anon 2595625 >># Not sure if you're just trying to troll or stroke your ego for fun. But...just for shits and giggles, do you have a car domain link or something to your EG Civic? I'm not trying to bait or troll or anything, I'm just curious about this car you keep bragging about. >> [_] Anon 2595629 >># Yeah, it's usually easier to find people to hang with in Cali. I used to live there when I was stationed in 29 palms. I'd occasionally head out to GMR on the weekends in my Miata. >> [_] Anon 2595631 >># bout to make the trip to SevenStock soon so ima hit up autoclub speedway then GMR on some fresh slicks in the GSLSE >> [_] Anon 2595644 >># >Running slicks on GMR Hnnnnnnng Don't get too carried away if you don't know the road, though. It will bite you in the ass. >> [_] Anon 2595646 >># As much as I love GMR, I actually like the ridge road better. >> [_] Anon 2595649 >># It's a forced meme from /o/. I was going to post the rest of the pasta but its too fucking long for /f/ so I'm giving up. I DO have a 94 EG though but its a stock sedan. Still hit the touge but doubt I could run with these tofu cunts even if i had a capable car. >> [_] Anon 2595651 >># been at it for about 7 years now, the GSLSE is dead slow (no engine mods) and a slob at handling (live axle really doesn't cut it competitively) , its going to be a pretty sedated pace >> [_] Anon 2595662 >># Well, the SA22 chassis cars (no such thing as FB, I don't care what anyone says) always had shit rear suspension geometry. The problem isn't with the fact it uses a live rear, it's the binding of the 4 link and the watts. You can actually soften the thing a bit to help the rear end stick under power. The first thing I'd recommend for a street car is disconnecting the rear stabilizer. If you want to go further with it (this isn't trolling), you can also drill holes through the rubber bushings to give them more flex. I came accross a page somewhere on the net I lost of a guy taking a drill to his bushings to make them softer, I don't know what the final results were. Anyway, Mazda fucked up on the suspension geometry of the car, it needs flex in order to properly stick. Front end, stiffen like normal. http://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-sp ecific-1979-1985-18/fb-rear-suspension-ge ometry-problems-options-solutions-876479/ >> [_] Anon 2595666 >># The hole drilling thing is in this link right here if you scroll down: http://www.pbandjracing.com/rear_suspens ion.html >> [_] Anon 2595670 >># I dare say the SA chassis is one of the best handling live axle cars i have had the pleasure of driving though my current setup for suspension is bushings http://coilover-store.com/product/energy -suspension-hyper-flex-polyurethane-maste r-bushing-set-red-79-85-mazda-rx7-fb/ springs http://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1975-1985/ Spring-Sets/14080.html shocks (front and rear) http://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1975-1985/ Shocks/14475.html >> [_] Anon 2595678 >># >http://www.racingbeat.com/RX7-1975-1985 /Shocks/14475.html The Tokicos are STILL on backorder??? It's been about what? 3 years now?? >> [_] Anon 2595682 >># yeah took a while to get my set also, and they sent me a blown LF one, gave up on trying to get it exchanged and just bought another one. never again tokico >> [_] Anon 2595697 >># A blown one?? Fuck that. For that kind of time and effort, I'd just get some Koni Yellows or Bilstein HD's valved for those springs. Hell, just get some RESpeeed's or ground controls on Koni Yellows. Time versus money. >> [_] Anon 2595701 >># yeah when this set goes out Bilstien all the way >> [_] Anon 2595711 >># best part of the south bay are the roads. >> [_] Anon 2595730 >># >people actually do this sort of shit >for fun cant you just play fucking grand turismo like a normal person >> [_] Anon 2595741 >># Well...yeah. You have to live in the real world sometime. As long as you're not deliberately going out of your way to hurt others, there's nothing wrong with it. No one wants to waste their entire lives playing vidya and sitting in front of the computer....well, maybe some on /r9k/... |
