The captcha expires before your file has finished uploading, if you want to post something big
you have to use the old squiggly letter captcha.

Not really. I don't have an exceptional connection and I just choose the tag, type in whatever
text I want, then do the captcha and hit post immediately after . You can do it with a somewhat
worse connection by doing that but also closing any files, applications and other tabs you have
open before posting.

That's right, because the upload only uses the captcha that's been provided prior to upload. So
any captchas completed after the upload has started are not registered into the system.
