Something about this makes me incredibly sad.
Not the game, that is. Not directly.
I work at a children's hospital, and the idea that this is what a child imagines Brain surgery to
be like.... Thinking it's something akin to magic. It makes me realize our very real limitations,
and wish that they didn't exist.
The naive idealism of little girls begs such protection, that it makes my heart ache under the
weight of reality.
I never understood why, until now. I defend naive hopes and ideals because I wish they were true,
and I want to foster the dream of hope as long as possible, in silent eulogy of my own abandoned
innocence.
