Don't give up guys! >> Anonymous 27feb2016(sa)15:25 No.29253 D P6R5 >>29246 That's what Patreon etc. is for. If they stop producing, they lose out on their income and following. It keeps them aware that many people appreciate their work and products, and look forward to updates which is a psychological motivation, while also contributing to their budget which is a financial motivation. Not sure why DoodleNooch never elected for a Patreon. I'm guessing he's financially stable enough on his own and this was just a side-hobby. Seems like he got bored and moved on, or something terrible happened. Either way, it's really a loss for us. >> Anonymous 27feb2016(sa)15:40 No.29254 E P7R6 >>29253 The only thing Patreon adds is financial incentive. Everything else is already there with a passion/hobby project. Things tend to take a turn for the worse and severely retarded as soon as money gets involved. >> Anonymous 27feb2016(sa)16:38 No.29257 D P8R7 >>29254 >Things tend to take a turn for the worse and severely retarded as soon as money gets involved. Yeah, because civilization was built entirely on an exchange of good feels. Because the companies in the US that have produced every piece of the computer you're posting from-- companies that provide your internet connection, that provide developers the software to make flash, that provide the electricity to run computers-- they're ALL paid with good feels. Everything of quality has always been funded entirely by good feels. Who needs money, right? I get that you don't want to contribute to Patreon, but stop trying to justify your actions by overcompensating and hating on it. It's an exchange of money for goods, and despite being a freeloader, YOU benefit from it because flash projects get funded, so the least you could do is stop being an asshole about it. The vast majority of quality flash games/movies have been either produced by a company getting profits through subscriptions/advertisements, or an artist making profits through donation buttons/advertisements. The fact that they're posted here for free doesn't mean they were produced without any financial incentive. >> Anonymous 27feb2016(sa)16:44 No.29258 F P9R8 >>29257 >>29257 getting this fucking butthurt not admitting that everytime money tends to get involved, an artist ends up getting pressured into incorporating crazy ass fetishes that they have absolutely no interest in >> Anonymous 27feb2016(sa)17:57 No.29260 E P10R9 >>29257 >Yeah, because civilization was built entirely on an exchange of good feels. Show me exactly where in my post I wrote that. >Because the companies in the US that have produced every piece of the computer you're posting from. "Proudly produced and sold from stolen, bloody soil" Rev down the "US invented and produced the world" propaganda machine, faggot. >and despite being a freeloader[...] That's SIR freeloader to you. You don't know me. >The vast majority of quality flash games/movies[...] I disagree. >>29258 Exactly >> Anonymous 28feb2016(su)20:48 No.29293 G P11R10 >>29260 Name one piece of your computer that isn't from an American company. >> Anonymous 28feb2016(su)21:14 No.29294 C P12R11 >>29260 Not him but my GPU is from taiwan. >> Anonymous 28feb2016(su)21:22 No.29296 E P13R12 >>29293 Will do. But first, point out where in my post I claimed otherwise. Also, of course you want me to ignore those *Made in anything other than the U.S.A* stickers with all kinds of non-English text on and the fact that the company was formed and is located over 7000 miles (Rounded down for your benefit) from the U.S.A. Those are all just tactical choices by superior American companies used for maximum market camouflage, right?. |
