So on the one hand we have a childish and happy 16 year old girl, whom is most likely a virgin
and she actually behaves like a girl. On the other hand we have a insecure and bitter 19 year old
girl whom, due to marriage, is not a virgin and she tries to play the role of a man.
I'd take the first option any day, thank you very much.

Is the zodiac job system worth playing? I played the hell out of the original, and I've heard
mixed reviews about zodiac job.
Also, post game Ashe is top tier waifu material, but Penelo would be the coolest friend ever.

I've not played Zodiac (I'm not OP) but I remember playing the original. Had to refresh my memory
with the girl's ages but I know Penelo would be best waifu.

Yes, it gave me a reason to play through the game again. Some minor things have changed in the
world outside of the job system as well.
I can actually see me playing through it again later sometimes to try different job combinations.
It gives the game a little twist since you need to swap out characters sometimes instead of just
playing with the same ones through the whole game. Feels like you max out the License Boards
pretty quickly though, they should have made it so that you don't get License Points for enemies
if they die in just one hit.
A Turbo Mode was added. When pressing L1 the game speeds up a lot, cutting down travel time and
farming tremendously. Perfect for when you are replaying the game. Combined with the possible
speed boost from the emulator (which also reduces loading times) you will fly through the tedious
parts of the game like nobody's business.
Discovering the Zodiac Job version gave me a reason to finally try the game on emulator as well,
which stunned me with how beautiful the upscaled graphics really are. If you haven't played it on
emulator yet and have a computer powerful enough to at least get 60 fps at 2880x1620 resolution I
dare say that is reason enough to try out this "International" version (that amusingly enough was
only released in Japan).

Oh yeah, as for the job system itself. Sure, it gives you a reason to actually care about the
weapons that you never cared about before. I mean, who were actually on the look out for maces,
spears, poles, staves, hand-bombs and (ugh) measures before? Not unless you were specifically
limiting yourself to a certain category for role-playing reasons. Now you gotta find the right
weapon for the right job, which is pretty interesting. Hell, I didn't even know hand-bombs were
ranged weapons before I played the Zodiac version of the game.
They should have done a better job explaining that certain characters are better suited for
certain weapons though, for example if you give hammers to a character with low vitality (various
stats differ between characters) you'll deal lower damage just because of that. Final Fantasy is
pretty lousy at explaining a lot of the smaller details.
