He probably picked those examples at random. Most modern art is like that. Except for the rock. He probably picked that one on purpose since it's at a museum. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)17:16:23 No.3021641 In case you didn't realize yet, there's one /pol/tard who insists on spamming his shitty /pol/-related flashes every day. This one was posted literally less than 12 hours ago, got a whole bunch of replying /b/ kiddies to reply, and now he posts it again for the american /b/ kiddies to see it too. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)18:13:26 No.3021667 "Let's not give them money and they'll stop" is what you should be getting out of this. Much like with most useless people and companies that live off attention. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)18:24:33 No.3021672 this reflects the modern liberal trashy white folk >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)18:30:41 No.3021677 This man is an idiot, and anyone who knows anything about art would be able to tell that a close up of an apron isn't a Jackson Pollock. He clearly has no idea of how to teach students about the beauty of art, the true beauty of art. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)18:34:47 No.3021680 >>3021677 >true beauty of art okay, make squares and shit out some color on a paper call it art >you don't understand artistic deep meaning of this masterpiece gtfo white trash >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)18:37:28 No.3021683 >>3021680 Let me be clear here. Most of the garbage in current "modern art museums" is just that. Garbage. That is why if I were to make do as you say I could not call it art. Modern art comes forth from a desire to create in a unique way, not to "make a statement" like many modern artists attempt to do today. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)18:39:02 No.3021687 I remember seeing someone going into some sort of art exhibit. Two of the ones I remember are: A shovel on a string; and some wood on the ground. I'm never going to claim to know what good art is, but I would judge anyone who says those count as anything resembling art. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)18:41:55 No.3021690 >>3021596 This guys a fakkit >wahhh stop going to museams because they don't show old fashioned art thats boring and lame Art truly is subjective and the fact that current Museams are doing better then ever show people prefer the modurn art. I just saw this amazing exzibit the other day.... fuck it was beautiful. brb I will try to find it. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)18:44:52 No.3021693 >>3021690 well I forgot the name so of course I can't find it but basically she put mirrors on the floor or some shit and hung a bunch of different colored lightbulbs and she turned out the lights and the light refracted and it felt like you were in space walking among the stars... i didn't describe it well but its modern art and its fantastic. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)18:46:05 No.3021696 >>3021693 I wouldn't call that art, but it does sound great. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)19:22:05 No.3021726 He's romanticising like fuck, lots of those pictures were thought to be shit or hella controversial in their time. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)19:47:33 No.3021737 >>3021683 I'm a different respondant. I accept your point, using new mediums to create art is extremely important - look at film and animation. but there are very few examples of modern art that would compare to the juggernauts of old, don't you think? His point is that he wants to encourage art to be of the absolute highest quality, and museums should be doing everything in their power to display art that is worthy of outlasting our next few generations. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)19:51:37 No.3021740 >>3021737 The only thing I don't get about modern art is like... poop art or just gimmicky art. Like it just seems stupid to me. I don't really understand the mindsets of those who enjoy it let alone give it awards. but I suppose thats not nessasarily a bad thing. to each their own right? I mean.. some people even guinely enjoy poop porn.... or daiper porn... definitly can't get that but it exists. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)20:22:39 No.3021752 I am sorry that the camera fucked over classical styles of realism. Artists have to do something more than just recreate reality to elicit a reaction now. >> [_] Anonymous 02/13/16(Sat)20:44:24 No.3021765 >>3021752 Theres lots of new modern shit that could be drawn now but not back then. Modern artists just don't want to learn how to actually make art (high talent painter/sculptor etc...) so they just shit on a bible and let everyone look at how edgy they are. |
