The sex puzzle is an infinite fill-as-fast-as-you-can game, whereas dates require you to fill a bar within x-amount of moves, and each gem carries a unique stat. The girl has a preferred tile that nets extra points and a hated tile that receives less. Tear tiles give points that you can use your date items on, which give useful powerups and such.
