That said, wushu is very hard on the body, similar to ballet, and wushu practitioners are usually very fast and toned, so even if they don't have combat experience, they still know how to throw punches, kicks, and do them well. Most of them have at least taken tae kwon do or something. Wushu also overlaps with parkour a lot of the time. >># Everyone says that to give legitimacy to wushu, but it's purely performance.
