It was surprisingly close, but not really close.
Good thing is we got new game series like Souls Games
Or old series getting rebooted/renewed like Fallout or Tomb Raider
And we get now and then really cool games/series of games like God of War
But yeah, the games that existed and in general went a bit downhill sadly
