The spaceship had to change direction, inertia threw them through the windows. It's not a good
watch though, stay away.

how is sitting in a car and holding on on a railing the same fucking thing?
look if you can still hang on on a railing that speeds up to 200mph and be fine then I'll make a
public apology

it isn't accelerating at 200mph, they probably aren't even hitting the walls at 200mph.

You still have to download the video from the streaming site. It's just hidden from you in your
cache instead of normal hard drive space.

You... do realize the Earth is moving around the Sun at about 67000 miles per hour, right? The
only reason we aren't being tossed off the planet is that we're maintaining a relatively constant
velocity (as well as the Earth's spin, which is about 1000 miles/hour). We're in the car and
moving with it, so to speak, and nothing is 'turning' the car suddenly.
If something were to suddenly significantly slow down the earth's rotation, or change its
direction, people would go flying, just like in a car that brakes.
You ever hear the phrase 'it's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop'? If the people
in the ship were holding onto the railing, they would gradually speed up to whatever new velocity
the ship is taking. Those who fall are more or less still moving in the same direction the ship
was moving before (Newton's 1st Law), and since they're not being forced to move with the change
in velocity (acceleration) immediately, they 'accelerate' to that new velocity all in an instant
when they hit the wall in the clip. Going from, say, 200 miles/hour to 0 immediately would kill
you due to the force applied.

my point was that those people hanging on railings would "fall" too because the force would be
too much to handle, or their arms would tear off or something
that's all what I meant, now can we move on?

at 25-35 mph bones break anything over 35 you are starting to get in the realm where important

Okay, imagine this scenario.
You are holding a bar, dangling at the top of a skyscraper. Your friend then decides to try the
same thing, but falls off the edge of the skyscraper.
You can obviously still hang onto the bar and survive, while your friend makes a splat on the
ground below.

I think what he's trying to say is that it would be difficult for them to hold on to the bars
while the match the ship's sudden shift, but I dunno. He was pretty hard to follow.

It seemed like the ship was making ever so slight acceleration judging on how fast the people not
holding on to the bars we traveling toward the wall.
I still fail to see the source of confusion beyond a lack of understanding of Newton's 2nd law.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/30/16(Mon)15:21:47 No.3090148
>>3090145
I think what was confusing was the fact that the people holding onto the bars seemed as if it was
a gradual change and they were easily able to stop themselves where as the rest of the people
seemed to be instantly whipped off the ground and into a wall without a chance to react or hold
on to anything. It doesnt seem as if the acceleration is being applied equally to all groups of
people, hence why the original argument started. If it was a fast enough acceleration to cause
people to be forced off the ground and immediately start essentially freefalling towards the
walls of the ship, then why did the folks at the rail just gradually start to shift and end up
dangling. But im a huge fucking faggot so who knows.
