That is bullshit.
Pinching the bottom of a banana doesn't magically open it and the typical top down method is both
ideal and about as easy as pouring shampoo on your balls.

The thing is, pinching the bottom of the banana(opposite the stem end) while being technically
easier... isn't actually any significant ammount easier than doing it the other way. It's like
the difference between stiring your coffee with a spoon versus one of those swizzle sticks...
sure it's easier, but not helpfully or meaningfully so.

Yeah, except if you peel it when it's not hard as a fucking rock, the top breaks off, and if it

the bottom you don't have to worry about the seed since you pinch it.

I disagree.
The only time the top method doesn't work easily is when the banana is well past being ripe and
has become extremely soft and mushy.
By that time it is also usually rotten with many black parts throughout and thus it ends up in
the garbage bin.
