Have you checked the client whitelist?
If by BitTorrent, the client by BitTorrent, Inc., then that's not allowed and you should do
yourself a favor and stop using it because they're an extremely shady, if not malicious,
organization.

If your interested, check out the FAQs on the wiki. There's a (very) large section about why
uTorrent (and by extension, BitTorrent) aren't whitelisted. It's probably the question we get the
most often because loads of uTorrent users are whiney baby ducks who hate being told their wrong.
