"Spice and Wolf".
The premise is that a traveling merchant finds a strange girl and they travel together. Far from
being a straightforward romance, however, the pair instead treat each other with respect and keep
their distance, with the show focusing heavily on merchant guilds, counterfeit, aggressive
expansion, murder, politics, economics... It's a very complex show and generally comes
well-recommended. I certainly can't do it justice with my description.
