The nukes weren't even that bad compared to the firebombings which killed far more, in just as
horrific ways and in greater number.
Hell I heard stories about how the blazes were so hot that giant vortexes of fire started pulling
in more and more air from the surrounding area till the blaze was roaring hot enough to twist and
melt the few steel structures that were in the area (the majority of the construction was old and
nearly entirely wood)
