I can't find fuck all for creating swf's on a Mac, besides animate or toon boom, both of which
are subscription based. I just want to make music loops, why is it so hard?
Opentoonz doesn't export in swf, and Pencil2D and Synfig don't support sound.
I'm thinking of just converting movie files to swf with a shady website, like I did with this
one, it seems to be my only option, resulting in a shitty mess of pixels...

I looked into that actually, Supposedly they used to sell it, but if you go to their site, they
essentially tell you to fuck off and get creative cloud:

have you looked through torrents? perhaps there is still the older version hanging around
or try googling adobe flash macintosh alternative or something like that

I was seeing if there was any inexpensive or open source alternative, but it definitely seems the
route I'll have to go. Thanks anyways.

>inexpensive or open source alternative
I wish, your either forced to buy into adobe's subscription program or pirate it.
There is a handful of free software such as JPEXS flash decompiler that let you edit the images
that are used, change colors and action scripts but nothing that allows you to create a .fla from
scratch.
I wouldn't know of a torrent for a mac version though. You might be able to get the most up to
date software by getting a keygen, you'd need creative cloud though.

fuck. I have an old cracked toon boom app on my other computer, guess I'll just use that. Was
hoping there was a more modern alternative, even converting video to swf, but that seems far
fetched too.

>converting video to swf
if there's a reliable way to do this i would love to know, the 2 or 3 things i've downloaded to
do it haven't worked worth a shit and the rest looks sketchy from google. it seems like I used to
convert them to flv first and then had another thing to convert the flv to swf but I can't find a
working version of either of those now, the last time i used them was probably 4 or 5 years ago.
