Quran is always read in Arabic and all prayers in Islam are done in Arabic. There are no English
translations (or any translations in general) that are used for religious rites. The translated
texts are only used by foreigners to understand Quran before they learn Arabic properly.
On a side note, Quran is not being read, but rather chanted. Islam have special pronunciation
rules for reading Quran. It's called "tajweed", I think.

Because the Quran is supposedly the literal word of God through Mohammed, translations aren't
considered properly the Quran.
And it's impossible not to lose something in translation anyway, it's always better for
literature to read the original language if you can.
