Definitely, though getting reasonable quantities without first causing a detonation is going to
be hard, and it's still a rather roundabout way to kill yourself. If you are dead set on
explosives, you'd probably want to instead synthesize a more stable compound like RDX and some
plastisizer. Make some sort of head covering with a fragmentation matrix, and then make a home
made blasting cap and set the whole thing off when you are ready.

Again possibly, but it would take a lot of planning and there are easier ways that are likely
also to be painless.
In the end it's probably much more practical just to use a shotgun and aim at your brainstem
through the roof of the mouth. Do a hot load (extra powder) and a good heavy low gague slug. As
far as I am aware it is very unlikely that you would retain consciousness long enough to process
any pain.
