because they didn't do a good job in sorting players by skill
until your account was level 10 you could play on servers that had people of the same experience
level. then as soon as you hit 11 you were suddenly expected to play against people on max level
with much better gear than you and that had played the game since even before tribes ascend was
created
this annoys any new players who get tired of getting owned again and again with no chance.
eventually the servers start go empty, except for pro people who now have it even easier to find
newbies.
with time even pros stop playing because they get tired of it or dont have the time to play any
more. damage is already done however and then the game's where it is today, the end.
