From what I understand about Japanese racing and drift competitions, these people aren't taking
the fastest routes around these turns. They're driving drift rockets, and trying to do impressive
drifts. Even in conventional racing, the Japanese pride themselves in racing around twisty
tracks. You can see in the beginning of the video that the track is anything up "a circle".
