[_] Flash questions in thread Flash newcomer 10/20/16(Thu)03:11:06 No.3165175

Considering getting into flash animation as a hobby. What is the most recent version of "Flash
Professional" and is it the same thing as "Adobe animate CC"?

Where would I be able to pirate it, as Piratebay is down?

Can I create /f/ content with just a trial version?

Marked for deletion (old).

Here's what I can answer. Flash Pro was renamed Animate so yes, it should be the same. Both
piratebay.se and .org works for me right now.

I recommend using Adobe Flash Professional CS6. It may look old but Adobe actually hasn't added
anything new to flash since then, actually CS6 has some features that are missing from the later
releases: Advanced text fields (I think they are called TTL or something, I don't recommend using
them) and the ability to add Metadata text to your flash (dunno why Adobe removed that).

I think you can export swf as normal with a trial version, I think it's just a timer on how long
you can use the actual program. Any made swf files should still work if the program expires.

The release of CS6 I have contains the files "FlashPro_12_LS16.7z", "Adobe_Flash_Professi
onal_CS6_Update_2.rar", "keygen.exe" and "xf-mccs6.exe" if you want some kind of tip on what to
  look for in a torrent.

Good luck! Looking forwards to new OC.

I guess I'll throw in a question of my own.

Do the adobe flash making programs (CS 3 to CC) allow easy importation and modification of
  existing flashes?

I wanted to modify a flash and tried to use some open source flash disassembler, but it didn't
have the functionality I needed to do even some mild scripting and editing of frames and objects.
I the tried to export to some sort of scripting thing (flash develop) but kind of got lost
knowing nothing about coding without some sort of baby's-first visual programing GUI.

flash files are usually saved as .fla but are exported as .swf

OK then, I guess I can always use a decompiler to export to .fla. Thanks mate.

  >>3165246
be aware that a decompiler sucks at decompiling advanced loops though.
in short, try export the decompiled swf before modifying. Sometimes the decompiler works,
  sometimes not.

Got it, the one I've got my eye on though seems to be simple enough. Already had some success in
modifying it with a decompiler, so as far as I know it should work. Thanks again for the advice
  though.

It is purely up to the person.

For me I actually need Adobe Animate CC and I find CS6 to be quite old and not as useful for
  large complex projects.

However if you're new to Flash and you are just doing it for a hobby then use CS6.
If you're looking to gain useful experience in the entertainment industry (even though to some
degree Flash is obsolete and mostly just used for quick testing mobile app games or developing
game HUDs) then Animate CC is for you.

The official flash tools don't support any modification of existing swf files at all, they have
always wanted to hide the fact that it's possible to deconstruct swf files.

  >need Adobe Animate CC
I've actually not tried Animate CC. Why do you *need* it for your flashes? Did they add some new
  feature?
