They had this awesome cheap beef pita special and I shall pass this unto you /f/ Spices: Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning I have yet to move somewhere I can't find this stuff I assume its mostly garlic powder, onion powder salt pepper with some rosemary, red pepper and dill Salt and pepper Garlic one small onion The goods: 1-2 lbs ground beef (I like to go lean 85/15 at least) Two cucumbers one grated for dressing one sliced for filling Lots of pitas, of flat breads whatever you like Greek yogurt Chopped dill lemon flour (1 or so tsp) A song in your heart~ Or maybe just a hairy back Start by making Tzatziki 1 cup yogurt add one grated cucumber (drain it a just squeeze it or use cheese cloth whatever you have) add 3 chopped garlic cloves 2-3 Tbsp dill (I use dried because fuck it) salt pepper to taste. Cover set in fridge I'm not going to lie I usually just use bought dressing as I tend to make this when I'm short of time "Greek dressing", Caesar dressing or even ranch dressing they all work. Beef pockets: Pan on medium high Olive Oil + 2 - 4 garlic cloves add diced onion toss 2 min or so Add beef breaking up and stirring frequently After a bout a minute add 1 tsp flour if you got less lean beef make it 2 Add Greek seasoning I'm just going to guess and say 1-2 Tbsp I go by eye Little bit of extra pepper for me, the mix has enough salt for my tastes Stir for 5-7 min cover and remove from heat while you get pitas ready (Supposedly this also works well for ground lamb) Cut pitas in half Fill pockets with beef stuffs and cucumbers add dressing and serve with some chips to pick up the rebellious bits. ???? Profit. Good cheap and can be make in large batches for "company" whatever that is. >hairy back Marked for deletion (old). >> [_] Anonymous 01/28/17(Sat)19:53:58 No.3208355 >>3208347 is he handsome? >> [_] :v 01/28/17(Sat)19:54:50 No.3208356 >>3208355 well he is a faggot >> [_] Anonymous 01/28/17(Sat)20:35:52 No.3208371 Since we are sharing recipes, I've been making some nice little oat pancakes recently. What you will need: An egg (or more) An oat cake / biscuit / cookie that is roughly 2-3 inches long. Or measure out 3 tablespoons of oats and prepare them. A teaspoon of Cinnamon. 20% (just the tip) of a teaspoon of Turmeric. 4 tablespoons of milk 2-3 inch length of butter A blender. A frying pan. Set frying pan to medium-high, or as close to 6/9. Not too hot that it burns, not too cold that it takes ages to cook and does it too evenly. Blend all your ingredients together until smooth. Oil if required, but the butter should help prevent sticking on a typical non-stick / well-kept iron pan. Pour in to the middle and spread it all around. Wait till you start to see the edges turning a golden orange, flip, wait about the same time for the other side. If you pour it thinly, you can create nice crispy flat pancakes. (almost like chips, dust with further spices when nearly cooked to "burn" them in) Or you can go THICC if you prefer those. If you go thin, you can get about 4-6 pancakes about 6 inch diameter. Thicker, about 2-3. It's a nice healthy snack or side. I like having it at breakfast with some fried up veggies and maybe some chicken occasionally. Add some chilli and oregano in it for something extra. Any other mild herbs can also work well with this. >> [_] Anonymous 01/28/17(Sat)20:38:40 No.3208372 tzatsiki is the best, check out tarator btw sauce on the song please? >> [_] Anonymous 01/28/17(Sat)20:39:19 No.3208373 >>3208372 cdn.computerhope.com/resize.gif >> [_] Anonymous 01/28/17(Sat)20:44:43 No.3208376 >>3208373 o-oh did you make this yourself? >> [_] :v 01/28/17(Sat)20:45:34 No.3208377 >>3208371 sounds a lot like a quick dosa I dig it, thanks anon. >lot >> [_] :v 01/28/17(Sat)20:47:09 No.3208378 >>3208372 Resizing will be rewarded >> [_] Anonymous 01/28/17(Sat)20:48:25 No.3208379 >>3208378 Yes I have. Nice little simple side or snack that doesn't take a lot of effort or thinking, not even careful measurements either. As long as there is about the same amount of milk as egg liquids, rough amount of oats and any mix of spices, works well regardless. Can be scaled up easily too. Scales directly, no weird oddities with large batches. >> [_] :v 01/28/17(Sat)21:08:59 No.3208390 >>3208388 I wanna make crispy ones and dip them in tomato soup that sounds good. >> [_] Anonymous 01/28/17(Sat)21:24:57 No.3208394 >>3208390 I think they would go quite well with that. Soup in general actually. Most times I dip a bread with cranberries, raisins, walnuts, cashews and almonds embedded in it. I have some still left, I might blend that up and make a pancake out of that. Or use it as breadcrumbs for chicken.
