You could get banned for criticizing anything in his presence. Nowadays, there is very much a need for moderation, yet it seems like only a trickle is given. Having Snacks aggressive mod style back now might actually be a good thing, but the problem was he was right prematurely. >> [_] Anonymous 10/19/16(Wed)00:43:51 No.3164737 >>3164730 maybe back then but /b/ hasn't been usable in YEARS. He started to buy into his own hype and forgot that what made 4chan truly great was it's "down home" feel that initially introduced many people to the real, personal, fun interactions that this style of website provided to the Western world. It doesn't feel like that AT ALL anymore. Ironically this website shined when it wasn't strictly following the Japanese model. Hopefully Mr. Nishimura gets it, but I think he's a little squeamish so far in his handling of the site. >> [_] Anonymous 10/19/16(Wed)00:59:21 No.3164752 >>3164749 That's not how hope works dum dum. >>3164750 dude moot had an implosive identity crisis a slow drawn out implosion over years for real Also you're responsible for your own feelings, not this website or anything else. Internet culture is too new at this point but it will be a huge field in the future with internet archaeologists trying to dig up hard drives of screencaps and memes to try and understand a previous civilization's (website's) culture. >tfw your grandkids will walk into a national history museum and see longcat and pepe in a display case people may one day regard 4chan as the Rome of the internet. fantastic culture and beautiful monuments or memes in this case that stood the test of time. the leg/i/ons conquering all who stood in their way. then slowly spiraled and collapsed over the years until it finally ended and was followed by 700 years of dark age normie memes and social media entrapment. thats just my own personal autism though. there is a chance that everyone forgets everything on the internet just like all those 1990's communities that have no traces left behind. but it is true, we are sitting within a mighty empire of the web. there is not a single corner of the internet we have not touched. our memes have been the root of internet culture since our inception. weather we die next week or 3 decades from now, our mark has been made. Augustus Moot has provided us our golden Pax Romana and Hirro watches as /b/ burns. if the study of internet history really does become a thing, I know we will be at the center of it and I couldn't be more proud to participate. >> [_] Anonymous 10/19/16(Wed)01:22:16 No.3164760 Good talk, senpai.
