That's not really true though, sure there are people who whine about that sort of research, but
it's not blocked. As I recall that bejing genomics study recently published results from the
survey of those who were classed as 'extremely gifted' or some such. And I think they have a
second initiative going for intelligence correlated SNPs/genes from their one(?) million genomes
project too.

Eh, well it's definitely not near future, you also have to take into account enabling
technologies like the general trend towards fabricating/growing bio compatible synthetic organs
that will probably make such things possible sooner rather than later.
Still it's pretty unlikely to be soon in any case given how there's not any very compelling
reasons to develop such technology. With most replacement organs there's not only a large base of
people who need them, but it's a matter of life and death. With a womb, not so much in either

Found this more interesting than anything. Although it really made me think about what a bitch
and a half these procedures have to be to perform. Honestly, how is it worth it? One surgeon's
mistake, and one of the most sensitive, vital parts of your body becomes a fucking trainwreck.
Seems like it would just be better to get used to getting dicked in the ass or something. None of
this "feeling complete with who you are" stuff. I mean, I take no issue with transgender people
or people who identify as another gender, but it seems like getting irreversible surgery with
enormous potential ramifications with or without mistakes just seems batshit insane.
I think my nose is too big, and if my nose was smaller and just the right shape, I'd feel more
complete, but I don't get surgery for it, because that could fuck everything up, so I content
