I don't think I can come up with a single one that I've played WITHOUT story, easter eggs, deeper character personalities, and varied gameplay for different types of gamers. I think modern games are just too complex for some, and that's why we have the cheap knockoff games on Steam and other bullshit. Yes, I buy newer, expensive games, but in my opinion it's worth it. No, I don't need beautiful graphics to enjoy my games, but it certainly draws my attention.Even so, there are still the games like Binding of Isaac or various others Steam games that go easy on the graphics but still blow any Atari or N64 games out of the water.
