>> AK 25883 Space escape Beta Trial version of the game. [IMG] Space Escape.swf (3.46 MiB) 480x360, Uncompressed. 1 frame, 24 fps (00:00). Ver14, AS3. Network access: Text: Bitmaps: Yes. Audio: Video: <METADATA> [find in archive]
>> Swash 25884 Unplayable in its current form on high end computers. It just goes too fast. I was able to get it playable by adding a Wait command in each sprite's Forever loop. Still some issues with movement then, but at least you can see what's going on. You could set up a difficulty option - create a variable that is entered in as the delay time. Easy could be 0.1 with hard being 0.05. Or something like that. When the user selects their difficulty, set the wait variable to the applicable number. As far as the movement goes, it seems to bounce back a lot on keypress. This is a combination of an off-center sprite and the 10 step movement you have attached to keypresses. The balls bounce oddly because their sprites are also set off-center. I managed to smooth up the movement of the spaceman by reducing the steps on keypress to 1 and setting the sprite center in the middle of the actual sprite. To do that go to the Costumes tab and select the tool in the top right that looks like a cross. Click on the picture where you want its center to be. Hope that helps you move toward a working version.
